What we collect

• Without an account: nothing that identifies you. Your progress (lessons, quizzes, XP) stays in your browser.
• With an account: your email address, your profile (for example “biomedical”), your language, your progress, and your choice to receive our emails or not, with its date.
• If you use the feedback button or the “Keep me posted” form: your message, the page it comes from, and your email if you give it.
• The HL7 messages you paste into the Lab never leave your browser.

Why, and on what basis

• Running your account and syncing your progress: the service you ask for when you create an account.
• Sending you news (new lessons, videos, possible offers): only if you ticked the box for it. You can untick it at any time in your account, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Answering your feedback and improving the course: our legitimate interest in fixing the mistakes you report.

Who can access it

Andy Leleux, and the technical providers that host the account database and send the emails, located in the European Union or Switzerland and bound by a data processing agreement. Your data is never sold or rented.

How long

As long as your account exists. You can delete it yourself at any time from the account menu: your profile and progress are then erased. An account inactive for three years is deleted.

Your rights

You can access, correct, erase or export your data, or object to its use: write to hello@learnhl7.com. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can contact the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).

Cookies and statistics

No advertising or tracking cookies. Visit statistics are anonymous and cookie-free. Signing in uses your browser’s storage, strictly necessary for the service.

Independent educational content. Patients, facilities and example messages are fictional. HL7® and FHIR® are registered trademarks of Health Level Seven International. The site’s texts, diagrams and tools remain the property of their author.
